Premier League Match-Day Chauffeur in London: A Practical Stadium Travel Guide
This guide covers chauffeur transport for Premier League match days in London — Emirates Stadium, Stamford Bridge, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and London Stadium — separately from our general guide to Wembley, Twickenham and The O2.

In short
Premier League match days in London bring road closures, controlled pickup and drop-off points, and heavy pedestrian congestion around stadiums such as Emirates Stadium, Stamford Bridge and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. A chauffeur can plan a realistic route and a pre-agreed meeting point for after the final whistle, but cannot promise collection directly outside the gate when police or stewards close nearby roads. Syon Executive has no affiliation with any Premier League club or the Premier League itself, and this guide does not claim access to restricted stadium areas. For Wembley, Twickenham and The O2, see our separate event-day guide.
This guide is for hospitality clients, international football visitors and anyone planning chauffeur transport around a Premier League match day in London, at stadiums including Emirates Stadium, Stamford Bridge and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Match days concentrate large crowds, temporary road closures and heavy pedestrian traffic into a few hours around kick-off. None of this guide implies any affiliation with a club or the Premier League, and it makes no promise of access to restricted stadium zones — it simply sets out how to plan the surrounding transport sensibly.
The London stadiums in scope
This guide focuses on Premier League club fixtures — principally Emirates Stadium, Stamford Bridge and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with London Stadium relevant where applicable. It is a separate guide to major event venues such as Wembley, Twickenham and The O2, which are covered in our existing event-day guide and typically host different types of fixtures, concerts and finals.
A typical match-day journey
Most match-day bookings follow a simple shape: hotel to stadium before kick-off, then stadium to a restaurant or hotel afterwards. The complexity sits almost entirely in the timing and location of the drop-off and pickup, rather than the route itself, which is usually short.
Congestion, road closures and controlled pickup points
On match days, police and stadium stewards commonly close roads directly around the ground and restrict vehicle access within a defined perimeter, particularly in the hour before and after kick-off. This means a chauffeur cannot always promise collection directly outside the gate. Instead, a realistic nearby pickup point is agreed in advance, with a fallback location if the primary one is closed on the day.
| Stadium | General consideration |
|---|---|
| Emirates Stadium | Surrounding residential streets often have local restrictions on match days |
| Stamford Bridge | Fulham Road and nearby streets get heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic pre- and post-match |
| Tottenham Hotspur Stadium | High Road congestion builds well before kick-off and after full time |
| London Stadium | Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park access points can be some distance from public roads |
Exact closures and access vary by fixture and are set by police and stadium operators, not by any transport provider.
Why 'outside the gate' cannot always be promised
It is worth being direct about this: no chauffeur company can guarantee a pickup at a specific stadium entrance on a match day, because access is controlled by police and stewards responding to crowd conditions on the day, not by pre-booking. What can be promised is a sensible meeting point within reasonable walking distance and a driver who monitors the situation and adjusts if a road is closed.

Hospitality clients and full-day hire
Clients attending corporate hospitality often have a longer day than the match itself — an earlier arrival for lunch, the fixture, and a dinner or drinks reservation afterwards. Full-day chauffeur hire suits this pattern well, since the same vehicle can wait through the match and adapt if the post-match plan changes.
International visitors combining a match with a London stay
For visitors flying in specifically to attend a fixture, the airport transfer, hotel stay and match-day journey can be planned as one itinerary rather than three separate bookings. This is particularly useful for visitors unfamiliar with London traffic patterns, who may otherwise underestimate how long match-day journeys take.
Groups and vehicle choice
A V-Class or similar MPV suits groups attending together — a family, a group of clients, or a hospitality party — keeping everyone in one vehicle rather than splitting across cars for a short but congested journey. For an individual or couple, a standard executive saloon is generally sufficient.
What we do not promise
Syon Executive is not affiliated with any Premier League club or the Premier League itself, does not display club branding, and cannot guarantee access to hospitality entrances, players' areas or any restricted zone within a stadium. Any hospitality access is arranged by the client directly with the club or hospitality provider; our role is the transport around it.
