Collections that don't draw attention
Mayfair's private members' clubs and hotel porte-cochères are used to chauffeured cars, but the good ones are unobtrusive about it. Our drivers hold back rather than crowd the entrance, confirm arrival by text rather than a phone call in the lobby, and step out to open a door only when it's wanted.
For a collection from a club on St James's or a townhouse off Berkeley Square, we'll agree in advance exactly where the car should sit — many of these streets have no legitimate stopping space at all, so a short circuit or a pre-arranged bay makes the difference between a smooth pickup and a parking warden's afternoon.
Bond Street and an afternoon of boutiques
New and Old Bond Street were not built for kerbside waiting, and traffic wardens patrol accordingly. Rather than risk a ticket or a blocked lane, we keep the car circling or holding on a nearby side street and bring it round the moment you're ready — useful when a fitting or a private viewing overruns, which they usually do.
Parcels and garment bags go in the boot as you go, so you're not carrying them from shop to shop. If the afternoon turns into several stops across Mount Street, Dover Street and Conduit Street, the same car and driver stay with you throughout on an hourly booking.
Evenings, private dining and late departures
Mayfair's restaurants and private dining rooms often run later than a standard booking window allows for. We build waiting time into the quotation up front rather than adjusting on the night, so there's no awkward conversation about the clock at 11pm.
