One terminal, a straightforward brief
Unlike Gatwick or Heathrow, Stansted operates a single terminal building, which simplifies the collection point for scheduled arrivals: there is no terminal-matching to get wrong. Your chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board, and the walk from baggage reclaim to the meeting point is short and well signed.
Where Stansted does require careful handling is volume at peak times. It is one of London's busiest airports for short-haul and low-cost carriers, and the arrivals hall can be crowded during bank holiday weekends or early morning banks of landings. We build a little extra margin into the meet-and-greet on those days so your driver is easy to find even when the hall is full.
A genuine mix of business and private aviation traffic
Stansted carries a significant volume of business jet movements alongside its scheduled airline traffic, and we handle both. For scheduled flights, the process is the same as any commercial airport transfer: flight tracking, arrivals meet, fixed quote. For private aviation, your chauffeur liaises with the relevant FBO or handling agent ahead of time and collects you at the point the operator and handling agent permit, which is typically a dedicated terminal or FBO forecourt rather than the main arrivals hall.
If your movement is private aviation, tell us the operator or FBO at the quote stage. It lets us plan the correct collection point and realistic timing from wheels-down, rather than treating it as a standard commercial arrival.
The M11 run into London
Stansted sits to the northeast of London off the M11, and the drive into the City or central London is generally more predictable outside peak commuter hours than routes crossing from the south or west. That said, the M11 and the approach through the North Circular or into the City can slow sharply during rush hour or on match days, so we still plan around traffic rather than a flat drive time.
For clients heading into the City of London or Canary Wharf specifically, the M11 corridor is often a sensible, direct run, and we will discuss the best route with you if you have a fixed meeting time to hit.
