Transfer or full day — two different bookings
If you are checking into a country house hotel, this is a one-way transfer: roughly two to two and a half hours from central London depending on which end of the Cotswolds you are heading for, priced as a single fixed journey.
If you want to see the place, it is a full day. Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, Burford and Castle Combe are strung across a wide area with thin bus links and no useful rail between them. The car staying with you all day is the difference between three villages and one.
What a sensible Cotswolds day looks like
A realistic day is a leave from London around eight or nine, two or three villages with proper time in each, lunch booked in advance, and back into London for early evening. Trying to fit six villages in turns the day into a car journey with photo stops.
Village parking is limited and, in high season, genuinely difficult. Your chauffeur sets you down in the centre and waits nearby rather than circling with you aboard, so your time is spent walking rather than parking.
Vehicles, mileage and how the price is built
Full-day hire carries an included mileage and time allowance; a Cotswolds day usually sits inside it, but a wide itinerary taking in Bath or Stratford may exceed it. Where that is likely, we say so in the quotation rather than adding it afterwards.
Executive saloon suits two, First Class adds space and presence, and the V-Class or Luxury SUV suits families and four passengers with luggage. Entry tickets, guides and restaurant bookings are not included unless you ask us to arrange them.
