The Cotswolds by Private Chauffeur: Don't Try to See Everything
The Cotswolds rewards slowing down. A private journey lets you choose a handful of villages, take a proper lunch and spend more time where you actually want to be.

In short
A private Cotswolds day from London works best with two or three villages, a proper lunch and time to walk. Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are a common structure, and Oxford can be included on the way.
The mistake with a Cotswolds day trip is trying to collect villages like airport stamps.
Seven rushed stops are rarely better than three good ones.
A private itinerary gives you the freedom to structure the day around the places that matter to you.

Chauffeur or tour guide?
Your chauffeur manages the road journey and transport itinerary.
If you want in-depth historical interpretation or guided walking at destinations, a professional guide can be arranged separately subject to availability.
Could we include Oxford?
Yes. A comfortable structure is:
- Oxford
- Burford
- One or two Cotswolds villages
That works considerably better than compressing every major village into the same day.
