Private Chauffeur
Building a Private London Itinerary: Dining, Tickets and Guides
Written for anyone assembling a private London itinerary, this guide explains why dining, tickets and guides are quoted and confirmed separately from your transport, and how to plan a day that fits all of them together sensibly.

In short
A private chauffeur handles transport between stops, but restaurant reservations, attraction admission and licensed guides are separate services, each booked and confirmed directly with the relevant provider. Sharing your full day plan, including any fixed reservation or ticket times, allows your chauffeur schedule to be built around them rather than the other way round.
This guide is for anyone assembling a private London itinerary who wants to understand how transport, dining, tickets and guides fit together as separate but coordinated bookings.
A well-planned London day often involves several moving parts — a chauffeur, a restaurant table, attraction tickets, perhaps a guide — and it helps to understand upfront that these are separate services, each confirmed with its own provider, rather than one bundled booking. Your chauffeur's role is to move you reliably between them on the schedule you set.
What a chauffeur booking covers
A chauffeur booking covers the vehicle, the driver, and the journeys between the addresses you specify, along with reasonable waiting time as agreed in your quotation. It does not include restaurant reservations, attraction admission, event tickets or a licensed guide's commentary — these need to be arranged separately, with confirmation held independently of your transport booking.
Dining reservations
Popular London restaurants, particularly for dinner at well-known addresses, often need booking some weeks ahead, and reservations are made directly with the restaurant rather than through your chauffeur booking. Once you have a confirmed table time, share it with us so the vehicle timing around it — collection from your hotel, arrival with margin for traffic, and the return journey — can be planned properly.
Attraction tickets and timed entry
Major London attractions increasingly use timed-entry tickets, which should be booked directly with the venue in advance, since a chauffeur booking has no bearing on ticket availability. Once you hold a confirmed entry time, your chauffeur can plan the drop-off with appropriate margin and arrange where to collect you afterwards.
| Element | Booked with |
|---|---|
| Transport between stops | Your chauffeur booking |
| Restaurant table | The restaurant directly |
| Attraction admission | The venue directly |
| Licensed guide commentary | A separate guide, arranged in advance |
| Event tickets | The event organiser or official ticketing agent |
Guides and interpreters
Chauffeurs are not licensed tour guides, and if your itinerary would benefit from a guide's commentary at a particular site, or an interpreter for part of the day, this should be arranged as a separate service. Requests for a language-specific chauffeur or an interpreter can be raised with us as an enquiry, but these depend on availability and require separate written confirmation rather than being guaranteed.

Sharing your full day plan
The more complete the picture you share when requesting a quotation — reservation times, ticket times, addresses, and how many people are in your party at each stop — the more realistically your chauffeur schedule can be built. A day with a lunch reservation, an afternoon attraction and a dinner booking needs each element sequenced with sensible margin, particularly around central London traffic.
Costs and confirmation
Chauffeur costs and inclusions are confirmed in writing in your quotation, billed in pounds sterling, and are entirely separate from whatever you pay directly to restaurants, venues or guides. Keeping these strands separate from the outset avoids confusion about what is and is not included in your transport booking.
